3-year-old raped by neighbour in Faridabad

FARIDABAD: A three-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour at Rajeev colony here, police said. The accused, identified as Sunil, was later arrested.
The incident took place when the minor was playing outside her house on Tuesday evening, police said. The victim’s grandmother had gone upstairs for some domestic work. She heard the victim’s cries and rushed downstairs.She found Sunil with the victim. He was in an inebriated state. On being caught, Sunil fled, but was arrested later.
He had allegedly threatened to kill the minor if she revealed the incident to anyone. A case has been registered under section 376 and 506 of IPC and POCSO Act. The victim’s mother has been missing for several years, said police.
